A customer buys a product when it is convenient. We are convenient at that time when the buying process is super easy. On eCommerce websites, the shopping process typically involves first viewing the products, then adding them to the cart, viewing the cart, checking out, and finally purchasing. This process works well in highly developed countries.
However, in the Bangladeshi eCommerce market, you must avoid using the “Add to Cart” button. From my personal experience with the Bangladeshi online market, I’ve found that many people are not well-educated about the Internet. When starting an eCommerce business and selling products through a website, people often visit the online store but don’t understand the shopping system. As a result, many orders are lost.
Install the Required Plugin
Log in to your WordPress dashboard, go to the Plugin menu on the left, and click on “Add New Plugin.” Search for a plugin called “Direct Checkout” and select “Direct Checkout for WooCommerce” by QuadLayers. Install and activate it.
Setting Up the Direct Checkout Plugin
Go to the settings option in the Direct Checkout Plugin, which you will find under the WooCommerce section. In the General Settings tab, change just two things: set “Added to Cart Redirect” to “Yes,” and set the redirect to the checkout page.
If you want to change the “Add to Cart” button, go to the second tab called “Archives.” Replace the “Add to Cart” text with “Yes” and customize the button text as you wish. Apply the same settings in the Products tab. Make sure to save the changes.
Voilà! Your “Add to Cart” button now works like a checkout button. When someone clicks on it, they will be directed to the checkout page.
